Mrs Macaulay Mrs Macaulay gave North Pier Theatre a rating of 0/5
My husband and have just returned from our holiday in Blackpool. We went to see The Comedians show. We enjoyed the show, especially the comedian who normally performs in the Viking.
I would like to comment on the absolutely disgusting state of the theatre.
We arrived at our seat and I put my handbag on the floor, only to discover that the floor was soaking wet, I didnt realise how bad it was. I lifted my bag off the floor and put it on top of my new jacket, this I found was also soaking wet.
After the show on lifting up the seat to find the complete flooring area was saturated , and a sticky mess. There were lots of empty beer containers on the floor. On return to our hotel, I had to empty out the entire contents. Everyhing was soaking wet ! It took until well into the next day to dry it out. And it still smells of beer !!
I am sure there is no excuse for this diabolical state. I am sure it would put people off from returning to the North Pier Theatre.
I would think twicw about returning, most people like to get dressed up to go to see a show, however they would not expect to find the place in such a bad state.
Yours
Jean Macaulay
